Rhythmicon

Victoria’s resident sound system selector Rhythmicon started his record collection in the late 90’s; spending near two decades forming his unique style as a DJ and producer. Since then he has been at the core of the bass music scene on Vancouver Island; hosting club nights (notably as a major contributor to the Sub|Division series), radio shows, and collaborating with the community to build and support the scene.

Rhythmicon has shared the stage with taste makers like Zed Bias, Mumdance, Pinch, Kahn, Sam Binga, Breakage, and Caspa. He received DJ support on his production work from the legendary Skream. His list of residencies include Lucky Bar, Hush Nightclub, and The Reef. He has been a favourite at music festivals such as Bass Coast, Ska Fest, Tall Tree, Rifflandia, Diversity and Soundwave.

Rhythmicon’s sets span across the urban underground styles of grime, dubstep, drum & bass, jungle, footwork, UK garage and funky.  For Wonderment 2024, he will be playing on the deeper side of the dubstep and 140 spectrum.

Rhythmicon performs at 9:00pm on Sunday night, August 4th, at the Victoria Event Centre at 1415 Broad Street.
