The Moon Bodega

The Moon Bodega is the DJ moniker of Zain Burgess, whose enigmatic DJ sets explore the liminality between genres while deploying audio references from the realms of philosophy, reflections on spirituality and film.  He is a founder of the Space Temple series in Victoria.  The Moon Bodega moniker extends beyond Burgess’ DJ persona, with roots in his Master of Fine Arts thesis and science fiction short film of the same name.  The Moon Bodega could be viewed as a mystery in the continual process of unfolding – and for this iteration, while “hypnotic techno” may be on the menu, we should always be reminded that the menu is never the meal itself.
